Samsung Note 9

Samsung on 9 Aug Thursday launched its new flagship smartphone the ‘Galaxy Note 9’ at the Barclays Center in New York, home of Brooklyn Nets.

The Galaxy Note 9 has a massive, Beautiful 6.4-inchwide Quad HD+ Super AMOLED screen. 18.5:9 ratio with a 4000mAh battery. (fast charging and fast wireless charging supported) you get android 8.1 out of the box.

Powering this whole phone is basically the same platform you have on the Galaxy S9+ is not a bad thing in anyway you do get 2 huge upgrades one is that it has 6GB of RAM or 8 GB of RAM depending on the storage that you get,

Note 9 Storage gets 128 gigs or 512 gigs which is amazing for a Phone and you can add an SD card of up to 512 GB so you get 1TB (512+512) of storage which is insane for a smartphone. Now all of the capabilities in terms of the software and how it runs with this Snapdragon 845 can be very similar to the Galaxy S9 Plus.

And that also comes over to the capabilities of the camera where in terms of hardware the sensors the dual aperture, everything is all the same as Galaxy S9 Plus. the there is a big differentiation we have more intelligence in the camera. there is intelligent scene detection that can take in 20 different scenes. whether that’s food or flower or low light scenes etc so that you get the best possible photo.

The Galaxy Note 9 slots in step above the Galaxy S9+ and the big differentiator is the S Pen. Now you can use it away from the screen so its connected over Bluetooth via low energy consumption and you can use the button on the S Pen to control things.

Now you can do a long press to launch the camera app double click to switch between front and rear camera and single click to capture. you also get additional functionality to play or pause media or scroll between photos in the gallery. now you don’t have to worry about charging the S Pen. It has a supercapacitor in it. It charges up extremely quickly between 0 to 100 in just 40seconds. and when you take it out you get about 30 mins of usage, 250 clicks and even if it dies, it still works as a capacitive control on the screen.

Dex capabilities now expand beyond having a desktop. You can plugin directly to any type of monitor over HDMI with USB type C adaptor and you can use your phone as the keyboard and mouse now.
