Design & Looks

The Realme U1 looks similar to the Realme c1, The camera position is identical. The only thing different is the U1 got the fingerprint scanner and shimmering glossy back which kinda look pretty attractive especially the blue color. The only downside is: It is bit slippery and is totally fingerprint magnet. but for that Realme has included a case in the box. we get the power button at the right. the volume up and down button and a sim tray with a dedicated micro sd card slot at the left. On the bottom, there is a 3,5mm  headphone jack, a primary mic, micro USB port, and the speaker grille. while the top is kept clean. There’s no notification LED.

Upfront there is a 6.3” FHD+ Dewdrop Screen, with broad 90.8% screen-to-body ratio & 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The front camera, ambient light, proximity sensor & earpiece, are all in the delicate dewdrop frame. and is protected with  Corning Gorilla Glass 3. There’s a small chin on the bottom as well. The display is bright and crisp and looks very amazing. The Realme U1 has a 450nit maximum brightness, which makes it very legible under direct sunlight. Camera

The Realme U1 sports a dual camera set up at the back consisting of a 13-MP Primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture paired with a 2MP depth sensor of aperture f/2.4. It does a fairly good job with detail under natural light but struggles in low light. The Super Vivid mode is handy in some situations, especially when you want a little more ‘pop’ in the colors. HDR works satisfactorily too, and you get the standard shooting modes such as panorama, Timelapse, Professional, and Portrait.

The main highlight of the Realme U1 apart from the Helio P70 chipset is the 25MP selfie camera. It got the  Sony IMX576 sensor with an aperture of f/2.0. In daylight, the Realme U1captures detailed selfies, with good skin tones and colors in general. The AI beauty mode isn’t too aggressive and does a good job in smoothening your skin most of the time.  It has a Hybrid HDR mode, which the company calls a combination of hardware and software on the front camera.
