After Xiomi’s step toward smart tv’s and huge success in it, Huawei and OnePlus are also planning to launch their smart TV’s.
Huawei along with its sub-brand will be launching smart TV’s. A report by Chinese site CNBeta claims Huawei has a team of 200-300 people working on the TVs under its Internet of Things (IoT) division.
Honor smart TV will be much affordable like the Xiomi and will be only available online. while the Huawei smart TV will be costlier and will be packed with lots of features such as AI based voice assistant, may include the camera, and AI-based processing chips to handle all the smart home functions.
The Huawei TV models are tipped to offer the 4K and 8K resolution, with 5G chip integration to deliver content over a reliable, high-speed network.
It would also not be very difficult to port the Huawei video, health services, and other content in the TVs from the company’s smartphones.
Honor might launch its first smart TV in April while Huawei will launch its first smart TV in the second half of the year.
OnePlus also announced that they will launch their smart TV this year. It will feature similar features like AI voice assistant, and will also have a way to seamlessly connect with the smartphone, enabling it to show reminders and traffic information among others. It will also have a built-in camera and also it will receive software updates for 5 years. and will be more affordable than Huawei.
