The Honor Play is having a 6.3inch 19.5:9 ratio full-HD+(1080x2340p) IPS LCD screen with 85 percent NTSC colour gamut and a notch design. The display is vibrant and bright the viewing angles are good too. It has the Huawei’s powerful HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC Octa Core processor (4×2.4 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53) along with Mali-G72 GPU it got the GPU Turbo which has the name implies should get the GPU performance up and improve the gaming experience so consuming lesser battery, and it also got built-in NPU.

It has 6GB of RAM and 64 GB of onboard storage. It also has a dual camera setup the main camera is a 16MP f/2.2 aperture and PDAF, and a 2MP secondary lens with f/2.4 aperture for depth sensing. aperture and PDAF, there is support for 4k video and a portrait mode for both front and back cameras. there is also a portrait lighting option is included and AR lens feature. The Honor Play is running on Huawei’s own eMUI 8.2 built on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. There is support for face unlock which seems to work well and the fingerprint reader also works quite fast.
The company announced that the Honor Play will get an AI Gaming update in the near future, bringing features like 4D Gaming (with intelligent vibrations based on the game being played) and 3D Gaming Audio with surround sound. The Honor Play also features a ‘Gaming Suite’, which will allow users to manage calls and other notifications to prevent interruptions to their gaming session.
