Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor, announced a new smartphone — Honor 10 Lite at an event held in China.
The Honor 10 Lite comes with a 6.21-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) display at a pixel density of 415ppi. and got the notch design. The display comes with 19:5:9 aspect ratio with 90 % screen-to-body ratio and sports 2.5D curved glass. The display is clear and vibrant and renders excellent visuals.
The smartphone sports dual rear cameras — a 13-megapixel (f/1.8) primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. Both are stacked vertically followed by flashlight below the sensors. The camera has several AI-based features, including scene recognition, partition optimization Phase Detection and HDR mode. At the Front, there is a 24-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Performance & Battery
The Honor 10 Lite Runs on Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.0 on top and is powered by an Octa-core processor (4x2.2 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4x1.7 GHz Cortex-A53) and is seated upon the HiSilicon Kirin 710 chipset. It comes with 4GB of RAM and a 64GB of onboard storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. There is also a 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant and 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant available.
The Honor 10 Lite is powered by a 3400mAh battery which should be enough to last a whole day on a single charge. It also comes with GPU Turbo technology that enhances GPU performance significantly by increasing graphics processing efficiency up to 60 %.
Connectivity options on the device include Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Bluetooth v5.0 LE, and micro USB 2.0. Sensors onboard include a fingerprint sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, and Gyroscope.
Price & Availability
The Honor 10 Lite price starts at 1399 yuan (~ ₹ 14,370) for the 4GB RAM / 64GB storage option while the
6GB RAM / 64GB storage version is priced at 1699 yuan (~ ₹ 17,450). There is also the top-end
6GB RAM/128GB storage version which is priced at 1899 yuan (~ ₹ 19,500).
The smartphone will be available in 4 color options Midnight Black, White, Gradient Blue, and Gradient Red – and will go on sale in China from November 22.

About HiSilicon Kirin 710 chipset
The Kirin 710 is Huawei’s first 12nm chipset that offers significant improvement in power consumption and performance when compared to the 16nm Kirin 659. It features four Cortex-A73 big cores operating at up to 2.2 GHz along with four Cortex-A53 little cores operating at up to 1.7 GHz.
