The 2019 BMW X7 flagship SUV is finally Unveiled, It’s having the largest kidney grille ever designed for a BMW.
The BMW x7 is the biggest and most luxurious SUV, BMW has ever built sitting above the x5 and the x6 in the range. It’s about 9 inches longer than the X5. And it’s actually just 3 inches shorter than the standard wheelbase 7 Series. Keeping up with the big theme, the new X7 gets the largest kidney grille yet on a BMW model.
The slim headlamps they lead over and form one unit. whereas the new X5 has basically split down so this design differentiation comes with adaptive LED lights from standard optional with the bluest situations are the laser lights with a hybrid range of 600 meters.
All X7s come standard with three rows of seating. With the standard second-row bench, it will seat seven, but there’s an option for the second row of captain’s chairs that bring seating down to six, and they introduce the same seating adjustments that front passengers receive.
The x7 comes with BMWs latest IDrive 7 infotainment system as standard. It comes with 2 huge screens and its easy to control. Either directly via the touchscreen or by using the iDrive control wheel, between the two front seats. Or if you’re feeling a bit lonely you can spark up a conversation by saying hey BMW. Then ask it to do something for you. It can understand spoken requests so, if you say I’m cold, it will turn up the temperature the climate control system.
This is BMWs top-of-the-line SUV even the basic models gets a leather covered dashboard and full leather interior as standard other standard kit includes 21-inch alloy wheels air suspension front and rear heated seats and the soft closed doors.
The split tailgate can accommodate a lot of luggage. Even in the configuration as a seven-seater, with mounted third row of seats, the BMW X7 still offers 326 liters of luggage space. If the third row of seats is folded down in the boot, the storage capacity extends to 750 liters. And anyone who wants to use the X7 as a furniture hauler, can fold both rear seat rows and get 2,120 liters.
All models comes with a panoramic sunroof with three separate panes of glass that can all be opened individually. The capsule named panoramic glass roof sky lounge, is a bit of a mouthful and is optional and features LED lighting with your choice of 15,000 graphic patterns. Meant to resemble the sky at night. Just like in a Rolls Royce.
Suspension on all X7s is fully independent with dual wishbones at the front and a five-link setup at the back. They’re coupled with air springs that can raise and lower the ride height. It will even lower for easier loading if you wish. BMW also adds some trick handling features with the Dynamic Handling Package, including rear-wheel steering, active roll mitigation, and an adaptive suspension system that uses a forward camera to firm things up for corners and to prepare it for road imperfections.
The BMW X7 will get a single-turbo 3.0-liter inline-6 in the xDrive40i or a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 in the xDrive50i. The six-cylinder makes 335 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque, and the V8 makes 456 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. Both are connected to an eight-speed automatic gearbox and will get all-wheel drive as standard.
